NatHERS (Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme) is the national framework used to assess the thermal performance and energy efficiency of Australian homes. It uses climate data and building specifications to model how a home's design will perform across different seasons, providing a star rating from 0 to 10.
Ark Resources has been undertaking NatHERS assessments for residential dwellings for more than 25 years, covering Class 1 and Class 2 buildings, from individual homes through to large-scale apartment developments. This includes new builds as well as additions and alterations to existing Class 1 dwellings. Our assessments help project teams meet NCC compliance requirements and support stronger energy performance outcomes for residents.

Multi-Dwelling Developments

Section J Coordination
Coordination of NatHERS residential thermal performance with Section J building code compliance for mixed-use and Class 2/3 buildings requiring both pathways.
Additions and Alterations to Existing Homes
NatHERS assessments for extensions, renovations and significant alterations to existing Class 1 dwellings. Assessments account for the existing building fabric and identify compliant thermal performance specifications for the new or altered work.
