Congratulations to Orchard Piper on Kew Village Planning Approval
We are delighted to congratulate Orchard Piper on receiving planning approval for Kew Village, a $520 million mixed use precinct in Melbourne's inner east. Ark Resources is proud to be providing ESD consulting on this exciting project, targeting Green Star certification and a NatHERS average of 7.5 stars.
The Princess Street site in Kew, located 6km east of the Melbourne CBD, is currently an open air car park and supermarket. It will be transformed into a residential, retail and public realm destination that sets a new benchmark for sustainable mixed use development in the area.
Designed by Wardle with landscaping by Oculus, the approved scheme comprises 194 homes across four buildings of varying heights, including one, two and three bedroom apartments and townhouses alongside ground floor retail and carefully considered public spaces.
Our Role on Kew Village
Ark Resources has been engaged to deliver end to end ESD consulting across the project, with sustainability embedded from the earliest stages of design. The focus on thermal performance and occupant comfort is central to the approach across all dwelling types.
The project details are summarised below:
- Targeting Green Star certification
- NatHERS average of 7.5 stars
We are genuinely looking forward to working closely with Orchard Piper, Wardle and the broader project team to bring Kew Village to life. We are committed to helping the team achieve the best possible outcomes.
